"As living beings, we are geared to movement and growth, to achieving something new, leaving the outworn behind and going on to a next stage."

I'm Paul Mc Donagh, and my psychotherapy and counselling service was created through my own personal journey of transformation. Like many people, I reached a point where I felt stuck. Life had become stagnant, and I knew something needed to change. It took courage to answer the calling I'd been ignoring, but that decision led me down a path of adult education and self-betterment that changed everything.
I achieved a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Youth Studies from The Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences (ICHAS). This pathway of reinvention wasn't just about gaining qualifications. It was deeply personal and instrumental to who I am today. It taught me what it feels like to be stuck in the here and now, and that understanding drives my commitment to helping others who find themselves in that same place.
My approach starts with where you are right now, at this moment. What's coming up for you? What's weighing on your mind? Through attentive listening and genuine understanding, we can begin the pathway to self-realisation, self-discovery and self-mastery. I use integrative approaches to best suit your needs, adapting my style to meet you where you are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, identity questions or any other challenge, I offer a safe, confidential and secure environment where you can openly express your feelings without judgement. You'll know that I'm fully supportive and encouraging in your development because I've walked my own version of that journey.

My practice is regulated under professional and ethical standards, and I work under regular clinical supervision to ensure the highest quality of care. Continuous professional development ensures that your needs are being met as new techniques and approaches are discovered through professional research.
